Welcome to the blog! Our first week in Ireland was great. We went on a nice walk the first day and settled in, then did orientation and a tour of Bundoran on Monday. Tuesday morning we all walked the Benbulben Loop Trail together, followed by a surf lesson for the adventure gappers and a walk-and-sketch session for the art gappers at Rossnowlagh Beach. We spent Wednesday morning cliff jumping, then the artists did another walk-and-sketch in the local town of Mullaghmore and the leadership group planned our trip to Galway. On Thursday, we hiked Arroo Trail and took a polar dip in   Tin Whistle Lake on top of the Keeloges Ridge. It was tiring, but rewarding, and the wood-fired pizzas we made later were delicious! We trekked across the sand dunes at Tullan Strand on Friday, then took a refreshing swim in the estuary. Finally, on Saturday, the adventure gappers went kayaking and pier jumping while the art gappers went to the River Erne for a sketch and swim, then we all went to St John’s Point, where we walked around and swam by the lighthouse. We had a barbecue that evening. It was a great week, and the group got really close.
