Artistic Exploration: Unique and Tangible Self-Expression
Artistic exploration is about filling your creative well, finding inspiration and nurturing your creative consciousness in a low-stress atmosphere. It is about thinking of art in new ways and experiencing your journey through the lens of art.
Artistic exploration is also about connection – To oneself, to community, to culture and to peers. We believe that art is to be enjoyed light-heartedly and as such we put a premium on playing with our art and having fun with the creative process!
Students in our Arts Programs will work with our team of professional art tutors in daily workshops across a variety of disciplines, allowing a wide-range of artistic perspectives and skills to be cultivated.
Our workshops seek to go beyond simply teaching students how to imitate the world around them. Instead, tutors help guide students in developing their own personal self-expression through process-orientated art. Art that allows different outcomes and focuses on the creative process rather than emulating a preconceived finished product. After all, the essence of art is expressing oneself.
The development of your artistic side is also enhanced through daily creative unblocking exercises, such as the Artists Pages and Artists Date. You don’t need to be artistically skilled to enjoy our Arts Programs, all we ask is that you are open and excited about exploring your creativity. Let your imagination run free and pursue your work purely for the joy of learning and creating something unique to yourself.
Your work will be a takeaway from your travels and may be used as a stepping stone onto other art programs or simply as a vehicle to further develop your interest in a particular area of the arts.
